All Around the House Aircrete can, literally, be used all around the house!
Far more than just a building block, many innovative products are available that make aircrete a
cost-effective, high performance alternative to traditional materials for use in foundations, flooring,
internal walls and many other applications.
Easy Life Whilst having an excellent compressive strength - more than strong enough
for most building purposes - the microcellular composition of aircrete makes it extremely easy to work
with. It can be sawn, chiselled, drilled and chased using ordinary hand tools - saving time as well as
being highly convenient. MORE >>
A Better Way... The unique performance characteristics of aircrete makes it a strong, but extremely versatile
building material which is being continually developed to produce innovative new products and
build methods that save time, offer great design flexibility and meet increasingly stringent
building regulations for thermal and acoustic insulation.

Healthier and Wealthier By giving consideration to the storage and accessibility (to pallets of aircrete blocks and other
aircrete materials) the site manager may improve efficiency, increase the likelihood of better
workmanship and can minimize the risk of accidents and damage to health.

SITE NOTES
Weaker for Stronger
Lower strengths mortars should be used with aircrete blocks to accommodate movement.
Over strong cement rich mortars are not recommended - as a rule of thumb use 1:3
or 1:4 mixes below ground and a 1:1:6 or 1:6 mix above ground. Refer to aircrete members for more information.
MORE >> Practice Makes Perfect A comprehensive 'Code of Best Practice' has been produced which provides builders and specifiers with definitive
technical information on the use of aircrete. This is now available as an online brochure, fully
searchable and regularly updated to incorporate changes to the Building Regulations.

This is also available as a pdf brochure, however the information provided may not be quite as current
as the online version above.
