The unique performance characteristics of aircrete makes it a strong, but
extremely versatile building material which is being continually developed to produce innovative
new products and build methods that save time, offer great design flexibility and meet increasingly
stringent building regulations for thermal and acoustic insulation.
Aircrete blocks enhance thermal and acoustic performance and give improved build times when
used with any outer-leaf material.
Rendered, solid external walls using Aircrete blocks are one of the cheapest and quickest forms of construction.

Aircrete blocks are light, easy to handle, easy to cut or chase and quick to lay - whilst their
compressive strength exceeds that required in almost all domestic and many non-domestic applications.
Plumbers and electricians will appreciate the benefits of Aircrete too, for walls can be easily
chased-out with power tools or a bolster to conceal domestic services.
For the homeowner Aircrete offers greater flexibility and convenience - whether its for DIY,
improvements or future extensions.
Aircrete blocks can provide savings in build time, insulation, ancillary materials and labour costs,
making their installed cost very attractive.
Used for partitioning rooms or adjoining dwellings, Aircrete blocks combine the attractiveness of a
solid wall with superior fire resistance and the benefit of very effective sound insulation - a significant
appeal to potential homebuyers.
Compared to traditional timber joist constructions, beam and Aircrete block suspended floors offer
superior insulation and are a simple, cost effective and time-saving alternative that can be used with a
range of floor finishes.

Aircrete blocks are an ideal background for fixing. Cut nails when driven directly into Aircrete give a
secure fixing that's ideal for light weight door frames and skirtings. Light-load fixtures such as
shelving can be affixed direct with ordinary wood screws and plugs, whilst radiators and cupboards
are sturdily fixed using special wallplugs.
Aircrete blocks used in foundations offer a substitute for 12 bricks or two standard blocks, and so
can increase productivity by up to 200%.
