Given the Government's planning directive (PPG3)
to increase housing density in the UK, complying with new Part E sound
insulation regulations has never been higher on the agenda.
Builders of high-density housing developments, such as flats, can rest assured
that satisfying these latest regulations is simple if you specify Aircrete blocks.
The use of Robust Details E-FC3&4 E-WM-6 & 7 provide an all Aircrete solution
for the separating of flanking walls of semi detached and terraced housing.
Similarly, when used in conjunction with pre-cast concrete separating floors
E-FC-3&4, in flats and apartments, Aircrete separating walls can be used.
Ian Exall, Chairman of the APA Marketing committee, commented:
"With the government's drive to increase housing density in the UK Part E
regulations have become more stringent to protect residents from increased
nuisance noise from neighbours.
"Builders and specifiers are therefore under increasing pressure to meet new
Part E requirements, but the changes don't have to make life complicated as
Aircrete blocks offer the complete solution.
"Not only are they versatile and easy to use but the use of Robust Details
E-WM-6 (conventional mortar), E-WM-7 (thin layer mortar) and E-FC-3&4 make
it easy to comply."
