Important update on Installation, Maintenance and Repair of Modular Paving, National Highways Sector Scheme NHSS30 Seminar.
Important changes on how to obtain Paving Installer CSCS cards have been introduced, and the ending of ‘Grandfather Rights’ for Installers are on the way.
On Thursday 29th November 2018 at 11:00am at the Holiday Inn, Manchester Central Park, the Paving Installers Association Interlay will be hosting a free seminar detailing these changes and other important information about Highways Sector Schemes and commercial working.
With particular relevance to Installers and Contractors both large and small, Highways Engineers and Specifiers, the event will feature speakers representing Specifiers, Contractors and Client’ side presentations.  A free lunch is available to all pre-booked attendees (place numbers limited).

National Highways Sector Scheme, NHSS30 – ‘The Quality Management of the Installation, Maintenance and Repair of Modular Paving’, seeks to improve the installed quality of all types of modular paving including Blocks, Pavers, Setts, Kerbs and Slabs in concrete, clay or natural stone by providing an industry benchmark, ensuring project processes are planned and use properly trained and competent installers. The scheme focuses on continuous improvement, quality of installation and reduced ongoing costs for both the client and supplier.
Sessions will highlight changes to the ways in which modular paving installers obtain CSCS cards, how and when ‘Grandfather Rights’ are to be withdrawn, the benefits of NHSS30 as well as Highways Sector Schemes in general. The training requirements for operatives and supervisors, and necessary quality scheme activities for contractors and Installers both large and small will be also addressed at the seminars.

To find out more about these changes, National Highways Sector Schemes, and NHSS30 in particular, please register for your free place by contacting the Scheme Secretariat, Interlay, at the address below. Places will be limited and we would encourage you to register your interest as early as possible.
